Very sad news: the brilliant, insightful and acerbically witty writer, feminist thinker and poet, Leah Fritz, has died in London. She was beloved in our poetry community, and did so much for various charities and was a huge supporter of the Torriano Meeting House. Her poetry was published by Salmon in Ireland, among others. Her writing for the Village Voice, and work with Stokely Carmichael in the 1960s and 70s is important. I will put a poem of hers up soon. She was a significant writer and poet. Her work lives on. She is survived by her daughters Monica and Amy; her beloved partner, Howard, pre-deceased her.
