I Don't Love You is an exploration of love, non-love and nearly-love. In these precisely crafted poems, Christian Wethered charts the break-down of a relationship, amid the wider context of human alienation.

Christian Wethered has been published in the UK and Ireland. He features in The Best New British and Irish Poets 2018, and was also shortlisted for the Melita Hume Prize (judged by Vahni Capildeo). His work was selected for the Poetry Ireland Introductions Series, and he was third-placed in the Cafe Writers Competition (judged by Andrew McMillan). His poem 'Lethe' has been anthologised by Cinnamon Press and Eyewear. In 2017 it was submitted by Cafe Writers for the Forward Prize (Best Poem Category).

Here the white space reflects the reader back at themselves. The unsaid, the effortful minimalism, refigure the page as a zone of control and danger just beyond the print. - Vahni Capildeo

These poems are very spare and moving, quiet but powerful.

The tautness of its crafting, the beauty in its language, make for wonderful poetry. - Andrew McMillan
